Seven Summits

If climbing the highest peak on each continent is your goal - Mountain Link has the program for you! These seven peaks range from a trek to high altitude on Kilimanjaro to the mountaineer's apex on Mount Everest. Skills required to summit each of the seven vary - please see our descriptions on each page.

Although there is no set order to climb these peaks, they are ranked in the following level of difficulty (from least to most difficult):

The true seventh summit?
There has been much controversy over what is really the seventh summit - is it the Carstensz Pyramid on the Oceania continent? Or, is it the peak on Australia's mainland - Kosciusko?

At 7,310 feet, Kosciusko is a non-technical summit. It is the highest point in Australia. However, many climbers expand the scope to the larger continental formation of Oceania (Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands).

For climbers who are interested in climbing the Carstensz Pyramid, Mountain Link will organize a special expedition.
