NORTHWEST MOUNTAINEERING SEMINAR
Mt Olympus: 7,965 feet
Learn the basics of mountaineering in an expedition setting! Our 6-day seminar covers the basic skills you need to summit Mt Olympus and expand your mountaineering options in the future. Our climb begins at the Hoh Ranger Station in Olympic National Park.
Fundamental and Advanced Climbing
Techniques
This seminar includes rope travel, ice axe arrest, crevasse
rescue, anchors, crampon use and ice climbing. We practice on
the Blue Glacier before attempting the summit via the Snow Dome
and Crystal Pass. The early alpine start coupled with the
amazing glacial terrain and short scramble up the summit
pyramid make this climb one to remember.
