This course is designed specifically for those who want to learn and improve mountaineering basic techniques while getting high altitude experience. In 12 packed days we cover the following:

On-The-Mountain Curriculum

Our guides will teach you the skills to climb efficiently, minimize risk and maximize your opportunity for success. The seminar includes basic climbing techniques such as rope travel, ice axe arrest, crevasse rescue, anchors, cramponing and ice climbing.

A portion of the evening is spent discussing related topics including glaciology, high altitude physiology and mountain medicine.
