April 2006 Newsletter
Imagine watching as friends and loved ones scale the world's tallest mountain. Mountain Link is continuing to stay on the cutting edge by using the lightest communication technology possible. We have a state of the art command center at the base of Mt. Everest so that we can bring you video and images while the team is on the summit!
THIS JUST IN FROM EVEREST BASE: "Today there was a collapse of ice in the Khumbu Icefall. All members of the Mountain Link climbing team and Mountain Link Sherpas were uninjured and are back at base camp." Robert Link - April 21, 2006.

Mt Olympus Seminar: July 9-14 Learn the basics of mountaineering in an expedition setting! Join Mountain Link founder, Robert Link, and hear first hand stories from this years Everest expedition.
Mt Shasta Seminar August 4-8 and 11-15. Add this beautiful peak to your climbing resume. It's the second highest volcano in the United States. This trip is scheduled to be guided by one of our Everest Veterans!
Success in Mexico:
100% for the April 'Zaba Express. Congrats to Tom Blesi, Chet Sutterlin and Joao Goncalves for a successful climb of Citlaltepetl (Pico de Orizaba). Despite a little late-season weather coming in off the Gulf of Mexico all three climbers were able to summit with guides Adam Knoff and Matt Millar. Knoff actually summitted twice . . . once with Goncalves and a second time the next day with Sutterlin, Blesi and Millar. From there it was back down and off to Puebla for a great night out with live music, "beautiful" Mexican culture and a bit of "buildering".
